Hi has anyone used the eye vet clinic in Leominster before? My dog got kicked in the face by a horse yesterday and they are conferenced that she will loose the sight in her eye. On googling I saw the eye vet clinic but being the weekend I can’t ring until Tuesday but just wondered if anybody had used it and what there experiences where there.

I was referred to them a few years ago, when one of my bitches had a problem with her sight. They were very good, great facilities but in actual fact only confirmed what my own vet had diagnosed. I am sorry your dog has been injured, it may be worth asking for a referral but if the worst happens and she does lose the eye I wouldn't worry too much. I had a dog lose an eye to a tumour and she coped amazingly, was back to her normal self very quickly.

Thank you so much I will definitely ask when we go to the vets this week. I am hoping she will adapt pretty quickly she’ll just have to learn to slow down a bit. They are undecided as to how much damage she has done as the eye is still swollen and bloody but in the 24 hours it has improved greatly so they are a bit more hopeful than they were at the start.

I had a second opinion on one my dogs from them, though we didn't need a consultation in the end (dealt with by email, in a professional capacity). Never head anything but good feedback from clients, and from a purely admin point of view they have been super easy and pleasant to deal with.

Great thank you!

John Mould is the eye panellist I used for eye testing Meera (PLA 0 :)) It was well worth the trip to Leominster as he was so patient with a wriggly 1 year old flatcoat. He also explained everything thoroughly. Very easy to deal with the practise and the best part they have very nice toilets and a coffee machine.
Highly recommend

Thanks for everyone’s recommendations about the clinic. We have found one much closer to home so we are going for an appointment tomorrow to see if they can help with any damage to the eye.
