Has anyone else's hound had anything like this?
For 7 weeks our 3yr old lab has had a small bare patch of normal looking skin just above her eye.
3 times in that 7 weeks a red mark has appeared in the centre of the patch. This bleeds a little and discharges a very small amount of pus (maybe enough to cover a pinhead.) The mark develops and heals again very quickly.
There's no swelling, thickening or redness and it doesn't bother her. The bald patch is smaller than it was, but I'm a little concerned as it keeps doing this 'discharging' thing.
She saw the vet at the end of week one, her gave her penicillin, and told me to bring her back if it developed into a 1 cm yellow lump (this had a long name which I've forgotten), so he could take a sample from it. But it hasn't done this.
I'd be grateful for any advice or ideas.
