What a lovely day at Rhos Farm Equestrian! Casp was brilliant - we got a 70.4% and First in Intro C - WITHOUT a caller, and I remembered the whole test haha!

Then onto Prelim 7, where we got 65.7% and Second. Wrong lead on the first canter strikeoff, but he felt much more forward than he has in the past and didn't break canter on either rein :)

THEN - I got talked into trying a Novice test :p It was Novice 27, which has lots of canter in it, and "show some medium trot strides". We know we can't always canter for long, and we haven't looked at lengthening at all yet, but we thought we'd give it a go. And we got 57.5% and Third, which I really didn't think was bad!

I'd post the video, but my lovely son, while videoing, used some words that his mother really wasn't impressed by, then did a huge burp, how lovely :D :D :D

So instead a photo of a sweaty tired Casp stuffing his face :D

Well done! Don't worry about bad words on the video. I have hundreds over the years with my dad swearing or growling either at me or the pony!

If you upload it on to youtube then you can play a music track which means you wont hear the words or burping :)

Well done today. He reminds me so much of my old boy, and its lovely to hear about him out and about doing stuff :)

Thankyou! Was a brilliant day. Having watched the video again, I also swear when my caller loses his place and I go the wrong way :D Really better not post it, I don't want to get banned :D

Thankyou! God, no more Novice for a while! We've only just started Prelim and our canter is atrocious :D

We've qualified for the Gypsy Cob Championships at Intro, and are currently second in the Wales My Quest Rankings at Intro, so we are sticking at Intro at BD for the practise for now, and trying some Prelim at Unaffiliated. Yesterday was the first time I've managed to ride an Intro without a caller and not go wrong, and the first time this year that I've not gone wrong in a Prelim WITH a caller haha.

My pony is fab but I'm fairly useless :D I get very nervous about cantering in a test, but riding the Novice, only going wrong because my caller did, and getting round all of it in on piece was amazing, it's really given me a confidence boost! Not in a huge hurry to repeat it just yet though :)
