Roasted Chestnuts

Just wanted to share!! the weather up here is amazing!!!!
Well today i decided that there were lots of outdoor chorse to do up at the yard such as fence checking, field tidying and making sure the outside of the stables was clean lol!!
So I started with the cleaning round the stables. I then moved on to Lunging the ponios they were both non-plussed but did some lovely work for me!! I then bathed the pair of them first baths of the season to which i stripped ALOT of coat off of Eowyn she is like a hairy yakky thing right now lol!!!
Both of them proceeeded to roll at the gate and cake themselves in mud, didnt mind tho as E left more hair behind on the ground lol!!!
I then tidied up my field, there were LOTS of broken branches and I decided to utilise them and I made some XC jumpies from them I will get pix later, so i have something to practice before I go anywhere lol. Also got sone short fence posts (will be about 3ft once I chap them in and Scott is going to drill holes in them before I plant them and I will have knock down XC jumps lol!!
Then I decieded I had done enough and stopped for a break so dragged one of Kias heavyweight turnouts to the field and a newly washed indoor rug and lay down in the field with the nags and a book and my lunch.
The pair of them came over and stole my crusts then proceeded to lie down next to me for a siesta. my fone had died by this point due to me listening to the radio so no piccies but I lay there for over an hour and sunbathed with the pair of them spark out beside me in total Bliss.
So all in all a good day was had and my stables and field now look tidier. If its nicer tomorrow the stab are getting planted as Scotts holing them tonight for me and I have a few more log piles to build.
