Lol. After coming off Molly with a very painful thud a couple of weeks ago, I decided to go back to my RS to help build my confidence back up (it's been shattered).
All was going well, I was doing some balance work without stirrups or reins. Rising trot going well - then bang! literally, a loud bang
Nelly reared up and shot off to the left and I didn't fall off - hooorraaaayyyy! I didn't even panic. Yes I did hang onto the saddle but managed to sit to the canter, get her back into trot and steer her all without stirrups or reins. The school was split into two and Nelly is a good jumper so she would have jumped had she not been steered away.
It was the best thing that could have happened to me (this is the weirdo bit, lol) as it has done my confidence the world of good.
Sorry for gushing but I'm so chuffed that I didn't just crumble.
Weeeeheeeee
