Self indulgent post alert! Oh i am beeming this morning.
I was due to travel to my trainers yard yesterday for a lesson. (like we do every week.)
Anyway i left my phone at work, (work for my dad) i go to the yard to get them both ready. My dad turn up, and i wasnt ready so was stressing about being late. Dad informs me that if id of had my phone he could of let me know that my instructor was coming to us instead as she was passing the yard.
Clue a major tidy up! she had never been to our yard before and wanted to make good impression!
Set dad off on tractor to roll the menage, while i frantically (sp?) brushed up! lol!
Anyway rode my 4 year old first. We are working on keeping him on a short stride. Cantered over two poles 4 strides apart, which he grasped after the second time down them. Then jumped small oxer on the diagonal using my legs mainly to turn, he jumped it fab. Then upright tight 3 strides off the corner, again very good. Did them abit higher and then the other way. He was great seeing he only gets jumped on my lessons, and it was very windy!
Next rode my other horse. I have been struggling to hold him after a fence, so have been taking my leg off when asking him to come back to me. He does then i dont have my leg on to keep him in constant rythem. So worked on keeping leg on his side all the time. We ended up jumping really decent size fences. 1.30 oxer and 1.35 upright, which he flew over, i am soo happy as have had a crap year with him being injured. The horse i bought is back!!
I think i needed to jump so big fences so my confidence improves, and i know cant wait for the weekend!!
God its turned out looong, sorry!
