Middle daughter has been helping back a 9 yr old Welsh x thingy, who is a bit of a spoilt brat & a class A1 dipsh*t but he has been coming along well!
He has been sat on, sat on & led round, sat on with reins & led round & sat on & 'ridden' at lungeing distance (very clingy to handler! LOL) & today.........
Fearless (mental?) child rode him all by herself!
'By herself' I mean off the lead rope/lunge line......completely free! Only at a walk mind but she did a few big circles, a couple of direction changes & several halts!
(He even had a spook at a bird but remained all four feet on the ground & just carried on!)
His owner is thrilled to bits, especially when at one point he kept trying to walk almost on top of her & she said "Oh, get off me, will you!" & MD just steered him gently away saying "C'mon, let's go over here shall we then?".....& he did!
(This is another 'difficult one' btw & I bet wodger_woo would know this one too! LOL)
