Just a happy self indulgant post about the amazing time I had this morning.
Y.O and myself took our 2 horses to Scorrier XC course for a schooling session. It was only the two of us there for most of the morning so lovely and quiet. It's only the second time that my horse and I have set foot on a XC course and we had an amazing time.
We started off jumping a couple of logs then moved onto the water complex. Tawny, my horse, decided to play her stubborn card and it took me about 20 mins to get her into the water! Once in though. she happily splashed around and trotted in and out, then jumped out.
We went on to tackle steps, banks, tyres and walls. I can't believe how much fun I
had and how much we acheived. This time last year I would never have imagined that I would be doing XC. Y.O says that Tawny is an excellent jumper and i've just got to have a bit more faith in her and myself.
I'm still buzzing now and can't wait for the next time.
So the moral of my story I suppose is that If I can do it, anyone can!!
