I'm just back from 5 days riding in Italy about 1.5 hours from Venice. It was sooo beautiful - we stayed in a working farm and were well fed with home grown Italy food and lots of Prosecco. The riding was all over the local area, lots of hills studded with cute churches, villas and villages. We rode to a restaurant in the evening and then rode back in the moonlight, trusting our horses to canter over the fields safely. I can't imagine doing that in England The whole thing cost about £600 including flights (Easyjet) accommodation :D riding and meals. Am I allowed to say that on the forum? Anyway I was just gobsmacked at how reasonable it all was. The horses were beautiful - mostly home bred quarter horses. If anyone wants their details PM me.

I love riding in Italy. Me and my OH go to Tuscany every year and ride at a place near Grosetto. All on tracks and beach with lots of galloping:) Going back in september.

Went to Italy with the family a couple of years ago - folks were wonderful and organised a days riding for me whilst they went off somewhere with my sister! Loved every minute!

It especially helped that the instructor said at the end that she'd been impressed with how patient and calm I had been when my horse tripped and spooked - for the months leading up to it, my instructor at the RS I was at kept saying that I was useless!

Could you pm me with details please?
