For those who remember Finn the police dog I hear he passed away in his sleep last night. He lived a remarkably long life considering everything he went through.

'It's only a laugh, no harm done'
It's a great age for a GSD generally, never mind with a heavy workload, traumatic injury and all the trappings and travel that came with the celebrity status bestowed upon him. A very good boy, despite of everything.

He was a fabulous boy, I knew him 2 years ago when he was still able to live a full and active life, a very distinguished gentleman. It must be very hard knowing when it's the right time when you have such a celebrity dog. However I used the same vets, she wouldn't have OK'd keeping a dog going past their sell by date if the dog was severely compromised so I'm pretty sure that Finn didn't suffer.
