I sent a private message to 3 friends on FB earlier and the strangest thing happened. The message I originally sent was about a 16.3hh happy hacker for loan:-
Friend 1 received "hi how r u"
Friend 2 received "hi I know this is random"
Friend 3 received "hi do you know anyone that wants to buy an 8yo 17.2hh Irish sports horse. He's not done anything for a year but will make a wicked hunter / all rounder in the right hands. He's deffo not a novice ride as still green. The girl wants £2200 (he was sold for £4000 2 years ago). Let me know if you're interested"
I definitely did not write anything like that in my original message!!
Changed my password & tracking account logins now so hopefully won't happen again.
Has this happened to anyone else before??

That has confused me :o and i use facebook alot? so you just got random messsges or someone has sent other people messages? i probaly did not read it properly :o

Just read it again and relized!!

Sorry lol,

Seems very weird i would be worried but that messaging thing they have set up so they remember chat is stupid and can go wrong sometimes x

It is confusing! Basically I sent a message but what the friends received was nothing like what I originally sent.
So between me writing and sending it and the recipient receiving it the message has been completely changed!

That is very strange, something like that happened when I was sending a text to my OH the other day - I typed out and sent a message and he received half the message I sent, and half a text I had sent him several weeks before! Very strange, I think the phone company must have got some of the data mixed up somewhere along the line, sounds like something similar might have happened to you?

Had a heads up from some dutch friends who say that hackers are getting in to facebook accounts and sending messages (some of them very unpleasant) to your contacts on FB. You aren't able to see what has been sent. It might be worth posting a heads up on your wall jsut to elt people know what's going on.

Thanks for the replies.
I'll keep a close eye on my account and subscribe to the FB feeds.
It's just so strange that the 3rd message was so knowledgable! Not at all a description of the horse I originally messaged people about but whoever wrote it must be horsey?!
