failed vetting - pulled shoe

i had a horse fail a 5 stage vetting today - she pulled a shoe last wednesday, and the farrier came yesterday to put the shoe back on.
the owner rode her yesterday and trotted her up for the farrier with no issue or indication of lameness

during the vetting today, the front left trotted up lame, and the back right also had slight lameness. it was worse on hard surfaces and a bit better in the arena. i really liked this horse and thought it would work out - the owner also advised that the horse had never been lame before, and today was the first time.

what would you suggest to do?

Let the owner get her own vet to evaluate the horse, at their expense.
Then in due course if the lameness is insignificant and resolves, revet the horse (after seeing their vets report and clinical history)

I assume that one of the lame legs was the one the shoe was pulled from? Why did it take over a week to replace one shoe?
If it were just that one leg I'd wait a week and revisit but with a 2nd lameness I'd walk away. Of course seller is going to say horse has never been lame before.

sorry - must've been my wording that was unclear. pulled a shoe weds 18th, replaced 19th and vetted 20th!

yeah, think it might be best to walk away if there's the slight lameness in the right hind as well as front left (leg where shoe was lost) - i'm going to wait for the full report from the vet's as well.

Is it possible the horse pulled a shoe while titting about in the field and performing an elaborate overreach and the two could be connected?

Often lameness behind can cause overloading and therefore lameness on the front diagonal pair. I would walk away I am afraid
