Debating getting one of these for next season... are they worth the money? Would really appreciate honest feedback from anyone whose used one? has it made a difference?

I think mine has made a difference and will replace all my girths over time .
Make sure you get the right gauge one mines the wider one ,I tried it on my narrower horse he hated it.

Thanks... definitely looks worth a look! I see some people on a different thread have hired them to trial. Anyone know where to do this from?

Make sure you get the right length. Because its thicker you need an extra couple of inches. I unfortunately bought it exactly the same size as his normal girth and struggle to do it up :(

Hi,
I thought I was kidding myself that it was the "Wondergirth", but it has made a difference. OK, so my horse is still my horse, but he is happier to be girthed, is moving well, but most of all his skin behind his elbows is now smooth!

We had a long standing problem of "elephant skin" behind the elbow, that was never actually sore, but was not right. We tried a whole host of girths, sheepskins, surgical spirit, extra washing, no washing..... Now the skin is perfect and no sleeve necessary.

It was not just about the looks, it must have been a point that had great pressure or friction to do that, now there is not.

I am another who would not wish to have another girth. :-)

I love mine and he is less girthy and bucks less in it. I however won't be using it for a while as I can't compete and hack in my jump saddle. Thinking of selling it but not sure it's a good idea.

When measuring for length (not determining narrow/standard gauges) where abouts is it "correct" in establishing the length you need on these girths? Seen some feedback saying people ended up with buying too short (based on the size of their previous girth) and it's created a pinching effect.

My horse is normally a 46" long girth. I had a 48" on a week's trial from Crewe saddlery which was ok but went up to a 50" to ensure it would always fit him, even in summer (his 'fat' days,ha ha!) and with my thicker numnah that he wears when fully clipped. The 50" is fine.
I am another fan of this girth-it moulds beautifully to their shape too, evident after only 2 wks of use.

I loved girth, horse hated it!!
On paper sounded perfect for him- padded, leather, cut back behind elbows etc but he was never happy in it.
Put ears back when he saw it, blew himself up 2 ridiculous level so I couldn't do it up at all. & didn't think he went any different in it.
Went back 2 my trusty jeffries girth & he was happy again.
Just as well I had only borrowed it from my saddle fitter!

Fig loves his :)

It's not going to turn him into Valegro, but he holds tension through his shoulders and so the cut of the girth makes it easier for me to encourage the expression I want in his forearm and keeps him softer over his back.

Just to note, he is very sensitive and gets rubbed by everything and I have had zero problems with this girth! I have found the same size as his previous girths works fine for him.
