Please can someone explain step by step how I check my Lorry tyre pressures - where I will find the correct numbers to know how much to inflate them?

I started it today and took it for a run (started first time - yipeeee - not been started for a month) and one rear tyre looks semi flat

Do you have the lorry manual? If you do look under tyre pressures and it will say how high they should be depending on the kind of payload you are carrying.

If you don't have it then check the manufacturer's website, the information should be there.

You can buy a little tyre inflator that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the cab (a useful thing to have in a lorry) or go to a garage.

Take off the little plastic cap on the inside of the tyre, attach the inflator and you will get a reading. Compare the reading you get to what it should be and switch on the inflator if you need more air. Most inflators can be pre-programmed so they will inflate to the required level.
