Fake tails in the UK?

Fake tails are very common in the US - mostly in Western and Hunter showing, but they are creeping into eventing and other sports...

It's been 15 years since I lived in the UK. What's the prevalence of fake tails, and the attitude towards them, in the UK?

I know i my classes for miniatures they are not allowed but not sure about any other breed rules?

Pretty sure they're not allowed for Arabs, either. Most of the stuff done to US show Arabs is explicitly forbidden here (ie make up, shaving parts of mane)

I went to Royal Windsor show about 10 years ago and was shocked to see a horse about to go into the show ring having it's fake tail applied!!! So people have certainly been using them over here in the UK for ages.

Are they common in some classes?

Ever seen on hunters? Dressage horses?

In the US they are pretty much de rigeur in Western classes and hunters.
