Just wondering if anyone has the new silver interactive viking rug or any of the silver interactive rugs?

i love rambos and the front fastening system is awesome but what si the fals front fastening system like with surcingles, is it tricky? any pros or cons compared to the rambo duo/supreme or other good turnouts?

I have one of each for each horse and I have to say I prefer the Rambo. The front fastenings on the Fal are fine not too trickey. It may be the way each horse treats theirs but the Rambo has worn better and cleans up like new whereas the Fal is not looking so good despite not being as old. I would go for the Rambo every time I have quite an old on and it is still in good nick waterproof and used 24/7.

Thanks SJ, i will have to have a little think, i need a heavy winter full neck which will either be the rambo duo, Fal viking or the premier equine and i also need a heavy stable, i thougt of gettign thr fal viking and the fal galaxy stable but i just want to make sure its money well spent as rather pricy for the two, i could get a few rambos for those two rugs!

The Viking is a dual-purpose rug anyway, so you can use it indoors or outdoors and save the money you would be spending on a stable rug! Unless you wanted two for whatever reason.

Fal, Fal, Fal......any day of the week!! I absolutely love Fal's - I have about 5 horses in the Fal Viking and 4 in the Fal Bulldog and they are just the best rugs on the market in my opinion. The rest of my horses are in Rambo's and sorry but for me they just don't cut it!

Hi,

I have to say i have used FAL's for years and wouldn't change. One of my Goliath's is 5 years old and still as good as new. Comes out sparkling after a good clean. Not that they stay that colour for long!

I have a viking, Goliath and Galaxy for my TB mare. To be honest she lives in the goliath most of the winter so no real need for a poly. Its 450g and keeps her snug even with a full clip. The silver helps prevent static as well.
I know FAL have a new rug on the market which you can add under rugs to (similar to the rambo one) so you can take the waterproof layer off and just use under rug as a poly.

Hope that helps.

I have not bought a FAL for exactly this reason. The front fastenings on Rambos allow for loads of movement. When I realised FALs had just basic surcingle fastenings I was very disappointed. For the price of rug I'd expect more than that. Also, simple surcingle fastenings can come undone easily if the rug is a little roomy. I have settled on a Rambo Supreme rather than a FAL for this winter. Not much to choose on price though - yikes!
