Falcon Hawk Event saddle or Bates Caprilli VSD - HELP!!

Still have a saddle dilemma! The Ideal International Event GP isnt currently available for me to try, and two others that I am looking at are the above.

What are people's experiences of them and which did you prefer? How comfy and secure d you feel in them, and how do they wear?

Home made peach crumble for answers! :D
 
i didnt like the caprilli, it wasnt very comfortable and i didnt feel very secure but thats me i havent tried the falcon hawk so i cant comment on that :)
 
I have had an Ideal event saddle, it was lovely, very comfy for horse and rider. A horse in the yard has a Caprilli jumping it is probably the most uncomfortable saddle I have sat on , apart from some synthetics. No idea about the Falcon but they always look similar to Ideals.
 
I've got a Falcon Hawk Event (though sadly no horse for it) and it's an incredibly comfy saddle, and it was a really good fit for my boy. So if it works on your horse, definitely go for it!
 
I used to have a Falcon Event saddle - loved it.
I found it comfy, hard wearing, and I sold it after a good few years (not the saddle's fault) for nearly as much as I paid for it new.

I had a Falcon Hawk event saddle for my old horse and always loved it. So comfy, you could ride all day and feel fine. Loved mine so much have only just got around to beong able to sell it and I lost the horse ten years ago, sadly only 8 months after I'd bought the saddle. If it would have ever fit either of my current two I would have kept it, but there was no chance and so I have to sell :( I'm sure you'd love it if you had one.

Crikey Shils, where did you advertise? Mines lovely but having loads of trouble getting anyone even interested in it!
 
I have the Falcon Hawk Event XP, new last year, its the most comfortable saddle I have ever owned. I also have one for my mare and have had that one 6yrs, again very comfortable and secure, lovely quality and looks good.
