Has anyone made a false tail for their horse?
My appy has a mixed colour tail, mainly black & silver, well, when i say tail, i mean a few straggly hairs.
Anyone made one themselves?

No,but I am plotting!
My warmblood has had his tail chewed off by my Knabxappy(her tail is lush!)I am planning on taking him to a clinic next month and am embarressed by his tail.
Being a violinist I do have a few bows lying around with long horse hair. My current plan is to leave this bow hair tied as it is and try to plait it in somehow.

Will be very interested to see if you get any more answers!

I never made my horse's false tail but the easiest way to put in a false tail is to plait it in - french plait it at the top and then put the false part in at the beginning of the normal plait part if that makes sense... the only problem is making sure you have enough hair to plait in the first place and with an appolosa crossed with God knows what in my horses case, that can be quite a challenge in itself! Haha! Good luck with the tail making...!
