Family riding holiday in February?

We are interested in a family riding holiday in February half term for two adults and two children (11 and 9). Obviously this isn't the optimum time to be doing this, so would need somewhere with a good indoor school or a better climate!

The children ride regularly and are just beginning to canter. We (adults) have ridden, but not recently, and are comfortable with a rising trot but not cantering yet! We'd like a mixture of lessons and (weather permitting) rides out.

Any suggestions?

This place is just a few miles from me, and I used to have a horse on loan at the yard some years ago. They have an indoor school, as well as a manege. The hacking is stunning; they are right on miles and miles of off-road riding, and a chance to go to the beach if you want to.
I have never stayed there for a holiday, but have heard very good reports.

Pity it's not later in the year as our place would be perfect but the February weather here in Portugal can't always be guaranteed!

White stallion ranch in Arizona would have nice weather in February. It's a great place for riding and families.

Arizona looks great, but a bit out of our price range unfortunately. I'll try the Cornish place and see what they reckon.

Sarah W, just how unreliable is the weather down your way in Feb? It's got to be better than here, surely?
