I am so incredibly proud I could burst! (Self indulgent, gushy proud mum post, sorry!)
Today I took my boy to his first show.
I toyed with the idea of entering both the coloured and youngstock classes, but decided not to push my luck and stick with youngstock for his first trip out.
Well what a very good boy he was! Fidgety in the line up, but that was to be expected of him. But he showed of the most amazing big floaty trot
the judge loved him and said it was a shame I didn't put him in the coloured class too as he would have done well.
Needless to say though, I couldn't have asked any more of him today and he did his absolute best.

Bless him, I wish mine is as photogenic as he is! We went down there for some dressage the other week, really quiet so no pressure at all which was good as it was only our second time out!

I really like it as a venue. It's always really friendly. I went to watch the combined training the other week and everyone was really supportive of each other. Not like somewhere like mount mascals!

Do you plan to show him when he's all grown up or do you have other plans for him?

Yeah I hope so. I personally am not into show jumping (remembering a course and remembering how to ride and trying not to be sick with nerves all at the same time, just don't do it for me!) so I'm hoping to show him as a hunter. Would also like to try a bit of XC with him and if love to hunt for a whole season!

Sounds fab. I'm not that into jumping either but Herbie loves it so I go for him we only jump weeni though,( but he is only 12.2hh ish ) Good luck with him. Keep us updated with how your getting on and remember we love photos on HHO esp of horses as lovely as yours
