Dont know why I never thought of it before, but for the first time ever, her tail was not claggy and matted this morning when I went to brush it out. This may be the key to helping it grow nice and thick again! Thankies to all!!!

Even better - put it in a tailbag - you will never know how you survived winter without one.

My chaps are bagged as soon as they go on the winter paddocks so come spring tails are lovely and clean and getting ready for showing is not a huge chore.

I also bag up Chancer's mane - but that is because it is longer and thicker than most TB's tails.
