Just wanted to say thanks for the advice you gave me re Canter work!

At first, it was a total nightmare and i thought it would never ever work! BUT, I rode yesterday and he has def improved, not great but so much more balanced and steady!

I lunged him today and, for the first time, he was able to happily stay on the same size circle!

So thanks so much for that. First comp on the 17th so, it has made the such a difference.

Don't thank me thank Justin Tuff! I too was a bit horrified when he said a small circle but provided the horse is already reasonably fit it does work as you discovered.. After three weeks Monty immediately found he could canter balanced and slowly albeit with a head carriage like a giraffe, now however several weeks on he can work much better.
I'm glad it worked, sounds drastic but Justin's horses always look wonderful in canter and for once we followed a trainer's advice to the letter!
