Don't often post in here, but as Joeanne wanted details I thought I'd make a new thread instead of hi-jacking someone else's :D

So here is my new girl. Arrived a week and a half ago and is actually far too good to be true!! :D
She is called Mally, 4 and a half, 16.2hh(ish) Irish Sports Horse. She isn't broken yet ass he was bought as a two year old to go to the Army, but didn't make the height. So shipped over here a month ago and sold to me :D
She is an absolute poppet so far! So well mannered and friendly, everyone comments on it. She had the Farrier today and he was very impressed with her, said she acted more like a 20 year old mare that had been shod all her life than a 4 year old baby! :D So far we have introduced a bridle, bit and roller with no issues whatsoever and she isn't bothered by boots on all four legs or rugs being lobbed on.
We are currently having a new menage built and she doesn't bat an eyelid at the diggers, tractors and lorries about. Tonight she was eating her dinner tied up on the yard and a tractor with flashing orange lights and a HUGE trailer drove into the yard, the pony being led in jumped out of his skin, whereas Mally didn't even look up :D

I'd better stop waffling now, I can go on for hours :o I am completely smitten :D :D

(She doesn't normally stand with her back legs so wonky!)

Hopefully she will continue to be so easy. My plan eventually is that she will event and hunt, but I have to get on board first before I make plans :D

For anyone who was wondering, The Flying Cow is still going strong! He is the thug older brother previously mentioned and determined to bully poor wee Mally something rotten! :mad: He is retired now and leading a rather spoiled existence with lots of haylage and food! He will be roped in to being the good example for Mally when she starts going out, as he is more than up to a few potters down the lane to get her going.

She had no name, and I spent the week inbetween seeing her and having her vetted trying hard not to think of names and jinx it! Mally was the one that kept popping up and it was decided on before we even left the yard with her :D Turns out it's fairly appropriate as she is by MAckney Clover, out of Laura LEE :D :D

Jessandcharlie - I'm hoping to event her, nothing spectacular, just see how we get on. I'm a wimp, so can't see us going too big! :D Hoping she will be a nice sane pony to hunt too.

*yawn*

Not that old nag again.....;):rolleyes::rolleyes:

Glad she is settling in well - tell Hen to pick on someone his own size:eek::D what does Snotbag think of the new edition?:confused::D

Bog off you! :p

I'm having to spread the rambling about her out so I don't bore everyone to death about her!!

Hen is a big wimp, normally he doesn't give two hoots about new ponies, but because she is a timid little mouse and gets out of his way he is throwing his weight about! My friend's gelding (normally the least tolerant of new horses) has taken her under his wing and tells Hen off for her :D

Snotbag doesn't know what to think! He is used to Grumpy old Hen, who tolerates him, but thinks dogs should neither be seen nor heard, unless they are of the hound variety! However Mally wants to befriend everyone, so is always nuzzling and sniffing him, poor bugger nearly hit the roof thinking he'd got too close to Hen again :rolleyes: Then he realised it was a different horse and licked her snout! :D
