I said that I would post a photo of my grey mares Freezemark. This was done by Freezemark.biz and, as you can see, this was when it was clipped for winter. As you can see, it's very clear.

Yes, just seen it...had some devilish work to do today so only just logged in.
The letters appear black - is this the horse's skin without any hair (bald marked)?
Also, it looks like it is on the shoulder- is that the recommended place - presumably bald marks would be prone to rubbing if under the saddle area?

Yes, this is a bald mark - no hair. With a grey you have no choice but to have the Freezemark done on the shoulder. I have absolutely no idea the reason behind this.
