my big lad was diagnosed with navicular and a broken back pastern axis about 18 months ago, i have persuaded my vet not to write him off as he is slowly getting more sound, so he has suggested wedge shoes (which dont go big enough for his feet apparently) so he has wedge inserts

so how do they look? (i havent got any before pics as i have been in hospital but he was a typical flat footed tb)

Must be the angle of the pictures... but the positioning of the toe clips looks weird.... or are they quarter clips???

sorry dont know anything about wedges, but they look like a friends horse that has them

Can I ask how wedges are supposed to help in Navicular? Surely the raising at the heel changes the coffin bone angle too?
