Well, the boy has gone to an amazing new home and they are as in love with him as we are. He's living with 2 other ponies next to his new owners amazing house as a hack all over the countryside mount for a slightly nervous 16 year old girl. We are hoping they stay in touch with us and we get the odd photo.

Handsome chap taking it all in his stride...we do miss him. :(

But we never meant to buy him, he was too small for my sister and I. But this is the new LWVTB horse! He's about 15hh and 5...and honestly, only we could get one who was painfully thin and the next one be this fat!!! He's been nicknamed Cartman already. :p

Intensive slimming programme in place, but will take suggestions on ways to shift the weight off, he's pretty grim atm. :)

And my boys not forgotten about - he's been working hard. Little pic from XC schooling last night. He's being a really good boy, which means I'm going to fall off him any day now. :)

How nice that Saxon has found a fab new home:D

As for the new boy - well he is certainly a little chubby:eek::eek::rolleyes::D

I would say restricted grazing on next to nothing with some hay if necessary to keep his gut moving - just like a lami. As long as he is doing 8 poos in 24 hours he will be fine. That combined with excercise will soon get it shifting:)

So glad he's got a nice new home.

Your new boy is lovely. Depressingly he is in better condition than many of the horses I saw at RHS last week :( He'd be classes as 'show condition' :(

He'll loose it easily enough. Restricted grazing and hay (supplement with straw if ness) and lots of exercise and he'll be nice and slim line in no time.

Good luck to Saxon in his new home, you did a fab job with him! :) Your new boy does look quite 'wide' in the 2nd pic!! ;) Just as a matter of interest, what does he weightape at? I'm sure you'll get him perfect within a couple of months. :)

Loving 'Cartman's' spotty bum! Good luck to Saxon in his new home, and good luck to you with the weight-loss programme x

oh bless the gorgeous Saxon off to his new home:D, love the new boy , does rather live up to his nickname doesn't he:eek: I'm sure you can work your magic on him though:D

I think I recognise that jump! It's not on White Horse Lane is it??

I used to hack past for years seeing it looking unloved & unused which was such a shame for a nice little course.

I'll see if I can dig out the weight tape this evening.

It's not going to be good no matter what it says. :D

And I don't know the area around the yard that well, but it was at Wheatlands Farm Finchampstead. Some of it wasn't so little, but we avoid those. :)
