Being as though we are close to the strabge goings on at the moment i'm thinking I must getmy mare freezemarked. I have used Farmkey in the past just wondered what peoples thoughts were on the two companies pros/cons. There's not much difference in price.

I had my 2 freezemarked by Farmkey, they were very good. They came on a time/ date that was go for me and when my girls went walk abouts after someone left the footpath gate open they were great. We found the girls not to far away in someone else field but they were missing for about 5 hours, farmkey were great, I sent them pics of the horses and they faxed them to horse watch, police and ports around the country. Cant fault them!

Freezemark every time for me, much better than Farmkey IMO.

Freezemark. They were available within a week rather than several weeks for an appointment with Farmkey. Very efficient and the mark (on a piebald) has come out really clear.

Farmkey for me never had any problems 1 horses mark didnt take very well but they were back out within the week to re do it for free

I couldn't help but notice on a thread very recently, the high number of horses that had to be re-done when done by Farmkey.

There isn't much to choose, I have stayed loyal to Mary out of personal choice so when she went from Farmkey I followed her to Freezemark - as a slightly smaller organisation I find the admin to be more efficient. Also Freezemark usually use 3 letters or numbers, Farmkey use 4, so if you want to minimise the discomfort to your horse.......

both mine are done by farmkey, both had to be re-done and really could do with being re done again, but didnt seem worth the hassel of re-booking... havent tried freezemark, but with farmkey i felt like i had to chase them up all the time!
