..and Jerry was much better behaved this time, had a pocket full of pony nuts and kept the head occupied and he only had a couple of 'moments' so was really pleased with him, thanks for your advice everyone, so glad i perserved
Hector was also shod, and my poor farrier had his work cut out, there is nothing to nail into, he has no new growth and my farrier had to put the nails quite high up to get a decent hold, so not really expecting him to be sound tomorrow tbh, he is normally a little footsore after shoeing anyway but think he will be worse than normal. farrier suggested putting cooking oil on his feet rather than the thick grease i use has anyone tried this? he has incredibly flat feet, very crumbly and he just doesnt seem to grow any foot
he has biotin and seaweed to try and improve the growth but any other ideas greatly appreciated
