I'm paying £80 for a set with road nails and two stud holes. Not sure if this is about average for the area! What are other people in the area paying? PM me if you get great service and good shoeing from your farrier for a signifiant amount less.

For all of that I'd pay about the same with my farrier (south Bristol area). Only have fronts at the mo, though, so 2 shoes with no stud holes and no road nails = cheap bill! :D

£69 full set with road nails. great farrier, excellent service and puts alot of effort into shoeing my horse as she is a challenge (not her behaviour, her feet).

£70 with two stud holes in each shoe. Less for refits, though cost seems to vary! No road nails, not noticeably cheaper without stud holes though I am a bit rubbish at just handing over a cheque, so maybe the winter is cheaper?!

I pay £75 for a set with two studs in each. But I also pay for turning up on time, excellent farrier work as I am MEGA fussy and refits on shoes if they are lost.

I had to find a new farrier last year and I nearly wept about how hard it was to find one who matched my standards, expectations and had space on their client list. Put it this way they were like hens teeth!
