I am a younger member, first horse, kept on part livery and not one to question someone's advice if they have more experience than me! I had a strong feeling they were bad, that's why I came here for a few opinions. Going to the possible new yard tomorrow to discuss an agreement

I really hope you manage to move to the new yard very soon, and they they will provide you with the back up and advise you need to sort his feet out OP. Don't feel too badly about it, you have tried your best under very difficult circumstances and been concerned enough to post on here. I am sure with the correct farriery care and a more reputable YO/YM to help you out things will soon be looking much better for both you and your horse. Good luck.

OP if you can look to get the book No Foot, No Horse by Martin Deacon(iirc). It's very informative about shoeing and hoof balance plus its easy to read and follow along with good photographs. This will help you learn how feet should look. I think it's around £10 from Amazon. Good luck with the new yard.
