He did the full new set there and then. Nail didn't even touch the sole of the foot, just the side of the shoe was pressing/digging in her sole as you can see on the pic.

Good to see that your farrier has been out and sorted out your horse.I really thought there would be an abscess if the nail had gone into the hoof. I recommend you get someone to show you how to remove a shoe in an emergency and ensure you have your horse shod more regularly to hopefully prevent this happening again.
