Farrier/Instructor advice Wiltshire

HI,

Im moving to Trowbridge, Wilts, next month and I am after recommendations for vets, farriers, back people, instructors etc. Any info gratefully recieved!!!!
Also, I am thinking of joining West Wilts or South Wilts or Bath Riding clubs, anyone know much about these?
Actually any horse facility and horse people advice gratefully recieved as I dont know the area at all!!!!

If you are near Trowbridge, then west Wilts Equestrain Centre isn't far away and they have regular competions and schooling sessions for sj and xc etc. They aren't a riding club as such, but if you join you get a discounted entry fee ( I think)
Kennet Vale Riding Club might be worth thinking about too, I'm not a member of any, but always found them very friendly.
And if stressage is your thing there is Saxon Dressage group
In terms of vets, farriers and instructors, I'd say it sort of depends on what you are after, but certainly no shortage of any of those three.

Bath Riding Club is excellent - I'm not a member myself but know many people who are, and they have a great reputation. They're also very active across the entire region, so would definitely recommend them!

My farrier is Kristian Ferris - he's based in North Wilts so I'm not sure how far out he would travel, but he is very, very good - would strongly recommend him. Others I would recommend would be Gary Urch and Pete Groom. I can also give you some names I wouldnt recommend - PM me if you like!

I am a member of both Kenneth vale and bath rc. I organise the training for kenneth vale too! We are a very friendly club :)

I use Helen Cole as my instructor and she is brilliant!! Martin Head for farrier, always late but very very good ;) and Liz Asprey-Tyrell for pysio. We call her magic fingers! She is honestly brilliant and has really really helped sooo many horses I know.
