Hello,

I research a good farrier for my horses, in the area of Lighthorne.
The farrier should be able to warm the shoes and to modify it, to be adjusted on the horse.

I have one horse, who need a full trim only.
And one mare (one clubfoot & pigeon toed front legs), who need trim and 2 front shoes.

Someone could advise me a good farrier please ?
And maybe to tell me some exemples of prices ?

My french farrier told me that if i found one, it will be very interesting for the new farrier to work on this kind of feet (not common), but ... for the moment, i have nobody yet in UK. And i don't know where to find a good one.

Thank you

Why don't you contact a couple of local vet practices and ask for their recommendations - explaining the situation. To be honest you need to be very careful with those conformation faults. Vets are happy to say which farrier would have the necessary experience and skills. There are too many that haven't so please do be careful. Also farriers working 'for the vet' are not necessarily really good - remember they are working to strict guidelines and instructions from the vet and that doesn't necessarily mean they do a good job away from the vet work.
