Im looking for a new farrier as i cant seem to get in contact with the one i normal use (which is most unlike him), what farriers do people use in sussex and how have they help your horses feet (eg needed special shoeing ect), also is there any farriers that people have had a bad experience with and should stay away from?

And how much they charge - my cob is shoed allround and my shetland trimmed.
My horses need their feet doing ASAP, any comments are much appreciated

I use a guy called Mark Brown, he is a saint, he always does an amazing job and is happy to travel a long way to my yard. He is very reasonable too. If you google Mark Brown Sussex Farrier his website should come up.

If you're at the north edge of sussex you could try David Howell. PM me for the number if you need it.

i looked at his website and he sounds like a nice bloke, i saw it said he charges travel fee if you are out of his 15 mile raidius of were hes based, do you know how much he charges for this? like by mile or how long it takes him to get to you.

It takes him about 40 mins to get to me, I'm not sure how much he charges to travel further I'm afraid.
