For the 4th time in a row my farrier has not turned up today. He was booked six weeks ago, as I always do, and I always book first call so I can be sure he will turn up. Always an excuse but at least today I went out for a ride and just told him to text me when he was on way. Glad I did as when I got back I got a message saying couldn't come at all today and could I do Monday instead. Now I am always flexible and do try and fit around emergencies etc but it is getting a bit much. I work and I try to arrange it for my day off but I have spent so many days sitting around for hours waiting for nothing I am fed up. He does have a reputation for doing this all the time but he is a nice guy, a brilliant farrier and I don't really want to change. Particularly annoying today as one of my horses is being looked at tommorrow by a potential buyer and his feet really do need doing. Nightmare.

Try and find another farrier if you can! Mine's great always early and on the day we said but my last one was never on time, always had a reason he couldn't fit her in even when i had booked 6 weeks before hand.
