The ones I know of who are supposed to be very good are Tom Pears and Phil Webb. Not sure if they will cover the area you are in but they are both in South Yorkshire.
I used to use John C Anderson when he was in Germany with us takes his time and worked well with my stupid gelding who thought he could not stand on 3 legs better to try 2! I think he is now in South Yorkshire. I am sure he will be on the farriers registration council web pages.
