I was recommended to feed Farriers Formula for quite badly cracked hooves. I bought double concentrate but my horse doesn't seem to like it. He seems to be able to eat his mix and chaff and leave the pellets in his bucket!! Has anyone else had this problem? Is normal strength more palatable or can anyone recommend a good alternative? Thanks

Farriers Formula was the premier hoof product and it was made in the US and sold by a UK company; EquiLife, they have now created their own version, which is cheaper. It is sold by EquiLife - the man behind it, is the famous Laminitis Vet Robert Eustace. Google EquiLife or Formula4Feet. It is the same product, but cheaper and non GM. It is a good supplement for horses with hoof growth problems, and also laminitis problems.

good stuff, both of them. mine will eat either. you need to feed for at least 6 to 12 months to see a difference. i also rub the original cornecresine into the coronet band every day. really sppeds up the horn growth .. and you get long strong nails too!
