Ulrich has very crumbly horse (he has lost 4 shoes in the last 6 weeks)

and we have been recomended to use this by a friend of ours. Has anyone used this, and if so what ddi you think of it? Did it improve their hooves?

Yes I have used it for years and it is very good. However I changed to sunflower seeds (of which there are tonnes and tonnes of posts in the Stableyard about) and these work just as well as the 20 times the price, FF.

Used it for 2 years, absolutely no bleeding good whatsoever!

Vet advised me to feed the horse Alfa A plus I changed farriers and found one that somehow manages to get them to stay on.

I've had it with supplements, lotions and potions TBH, I just think feeding a balanced diet and good farrier is the key.

Alfalfa and sugar beet are both plentiful in boi available calcium (easily absorbed) and that's what his diet consists of mainly plus Hi fibre nuts.

I've used it on and off for many years and I think it is very good. My horses are fussy eaters yet they both eat it - which is more than they do with some supplements. Funnily enough it also seems to make their manes grow as well. I find it definitely helps to keep shoes on by improving hoof density. My old horse has a damaged coronary band and that hoof grows with a cleft down it so the farrier is limited to how many nails he can use. Before Farriers Formula I could never keep shoes on her. I only ever lasted about half an hours hunting. Once she was on FF this problem stopped. She is now 24 and still being ridden.

My girls feet are terrible and I have been using Newmarket Hoof Supplement (from my farrier) for the last 2 months and the difference is amazing. One thing I have learnt about hoof supplements is what works for one horse does not work for another so its totally trial and error and see what works for you. I have also changed to Naf Hoof Moist as well and I think that the combination is fantastic.

Good luck, hope you find one that works for you soon
