Holy crap! I'm another that would love to know the story and outcome. Clearly not the first major repair that hoof has survived!

9 days ago this mare was mustered in New Zealand, she is a wild Kaimanawa horse and was on her way to be slaughtered. Each muster a certain number of horses are rehomed and the rest are PTS. A 22YO stallion was caught and as he was a favourite of the rangers he was rescued along with his lead mare, whose hoof it is. This is the first time the horse has ever seen a vet/farrier.
