Can fast fibre and calm and condition be fed togethor ? If no what one should i use for my 7 year old Tb exracer that can get fizzy with foods?

Are these feeds usually fed alone with supplements or other feed added ? xx

They can be fed together, but what is your reason for wanting to feed them together, as Fast Fibre is a low calorie feed whereas Calm & Condition is a higher calorie feed! What sort of calorie level do you want for your horse?

As for supplementation, both feeds are supplemented with vit/mins so if fed at the recommended rate they will supply the RDA of vit/mins for a normal horse.

If your TB is a good weight then I'd feed fast fibre as the sole feed, with salt added to the bucket. You can feed the 2 together but what is it you want to achieve with that? Eg, more condition, more oomph...? I'd be wary of feeding calm and condition to a fizzy horse as it IS still cereal based - you'd be far better looking at feeding a higher energy fibre only feed if you need something more than the fast fibre (which I think is a brilliant feed), something like Alfa A/Alfa A Oil, etc. You can add specific supplements if you need to, but you only need to feed a tiny bit of the fast fibre to get all the necessary vitamins and minerals in the diet. I don't like mixing loads of different feeds together as they have all ready been balanced by the manufacturer for vitamins and minerals and putting a bit of this and a bit of that in the bucket unbalances the diet.
