Mums dog had a fatty lump when he was younger and had it removed on his insurance. he is NOT fat btw.
now he has about 10 of these lumps everywhere, legs / neck / shoulder / belly etcc... however one in particular stands out! its on his rib cage and is like the size of a tennis ball poss bigger although u only see half of it.. its ROCK solid.
hes a doberman if it makes a difference.
he is also ever so lame.
vet isnt too concerned about the lameness could be the start of arthritis. vet has seen all the lumps except one on the rib cage.

anyone have any ideas??

Barney had fatty lumps. The vet always said that if you could wibble them about they were probably ok, but if they were non-wibble-able, they could be problematic. I would get it checked out tbh - our old vet just used to do it there and then, he took a sample from the lump with a needle and stuck it under the microscope.

Barney did have one that turned cancerous, but it was removed ok and he had a good couple of years after that, so it's worth looking into I think.

You say the vets have seen all the other lumps but not the big one on his rib cage, is that because it is fast growing? If it was a fast growing lump then your vet needs to see it now, if it is slow growing I would still suggest the vet if only for peace of mind.

My old brown Dobe had a lump on his rib cage but it was slow growing and was measured and monitored by my vet. He was 11yrs old when he was pts for an unrelated problem ,but you cant guarantee your dog will be the same, I really think he should see your vet.
