So I bought this mare from a dealer about 12 days ago and she’s basically a project and all u got told about her is she had a foal about 2-3 years ago with previous owner and he’s only had her for 8 weeks so when I got her she seemed fine in her weight to me but just after a week she seemed to be pretty low in the belly and you can see her udders if you stand back abit and that worried me a little bit as no fat on her neck ect so I messaged the man I got her off and he just said he didn’t think she was pregnant when he got her and definitely didn’t get pregnant with him so he has no clue the picture of her with a braid in is few days when she came and the one just standing there without head collar was a week after the first picture what are people thought thank you before I get vet out x

Her udders don’t suggest birth anytime within the next 4 weeks but beyond that it's impossible to tell from a photo. Get the vet if you're worried

Large udders are normal of they have foaled previously, so I wouldn't go just on that. The belly might be due to the spring grass? Speak with your vet anyway, and get them to do a proper exam if you are worried.
