Fat or Pregnant?

Just seen this picture on a FB page... horse is for sale... doesnt say anything about being pregnant

Funnily enough we've just had the vet out to check a mare who looks exactly the same as we're sure she was pregnant, turns out she wasn't (yayy) just chubby.

Might be a wormy tummy?

My Saffy looks like this at the mo. I got the vet out a couple of weeks ago to double check she wasn't in foal. She has never been near any naughty males but her belly was so big that I was convinced that a colt must have sneaked into see her.

Vet said it was just a grass belly.

I was soo happy! I was having visions of her foaling while we were on holiday and my non-horsey mother having to play midwife!

Doesn't look it to me. Broody & grass belly yes, but for this time of season this late on, they should in theory look fit to burst as is coming to the last seasons of the year.

If she was in foal, for next year, then it wouldn't be showing obviously yet.

The pony is an ex broodmare. I bought my pony from these folk unseen and she is a cracker.
