Now, if it was a connemara purebred, it would be to check height (14.2hh or under). make sure the jaw is right (not parrot mouth), moves straight, and conformation correct, trotted up.
I think if it were Sports horse, maybe conformation, mouth, height for correct class, some may expect them to be ridden, if over 3yrs and jumped, or loose jumped if underheight, lunged etc
