Sorry to post a rant but I'm really fed up with one of the liveries attitude towards my yearling. He has no consideration for him at all and the fact that he is a baby and by far the youngest horse on the yard. This afternoon Archie was tied in our small yard when, let's call him Bob, drives straight in at speed moving large plastic covered hay bales round by pushing them with the front of his big noisy Land Rover, straight up Archie's bum boxing him in the corner of the yard

!! Archie was frozen to the spot in panick and Bob had no consideration of this at all! I managed to move him out of the way by shouting obsenities at him to stop before he completely freaked out! He also lets his dogs run in the field with Arch and run round his legs in the yard, aswell as tying his miserable mare next to Arch when he's eating, who then tries to attack him for his dinner! I'm getting really fed up of this as everybody else asks is he ok with dogs/ cars etc and has a general awareness that's he's a baby. I'm working so slowly with Arch to make sure everythings a pleasant experience for him but who know's what happens when I'm not there as he shares a field with Bob's two mares. I'm getting really fed up and worried for Arch's safety everytime he's around. Maybe I'm just expecting to much

Yes he's the bay in my sig and is a totally sweetie! I just don't want him getting frightend or having unesscessary scares because of other people's ignorance.

No, you are not asking too much. Consideration, respect for others and their property, and good manners cost nothing but a moment in time.

Sadly, this seems to happen alot, and to those who need it least. Does your YO know whats been going on? It's your youngster, after all, and what he experiences now will be with him for a long time to come. Happily for me, I'm on a fantastic yard, where everyone gets along great. Shame it can't be like that for you....

I don't want to move as Archie is happy there it's a nice yard with lovely people all but this one person. I shall try and explain to him again but he is quite unapproachable and considers himself to know best. Your right though, manners and common decency cost nothing.
