Although my horse is now wind proof!!! We've had gales now for what seems like months and I'm fed up of it now!!

Our yard is on the top of a hill, in winter I am sure there is nothing between us at the Urals! Even in the summer when there is no wind anywhere else its breezy! The big advantage is though that when we compete in bad weather, everything else is pinging around like a loon and ours are perfectly behaved - to them it is situation normal :D

Sometime in April it was up our way. May has been the biggest blow out for a long time!

Same here (Scotland) :( Weather has been awful, has rained solidly for best part of 4 weeks and has been constantly windy for about 7

Hacking has been, err, interesting! It seems each time you go out new things have blown onto the hacking routes!

Yes I'm fed up with it too as it often is so calm around 6.00am, then the wind picks up and doesn't drop until it's too late in the evening to go out for a ride. The only positive is one of my ponies has sweet-itch and she's hardly been affected this year as the midges aren't about in their usual numbers.

Watch out when the wind drops youll probably find the animals fall over ! lol :)

but think positive - i have ridden out in weather i would normally run a hundred miles from and weve had many a fun time but learnt a load about each other

Will be so glad when the wind dies down so I can ride my older mare. She turns into a bit of a fruit loop in the wind and I really object to her ears up my nose ;) Takes forever to get the horse hair out after :p :D

My youngster on the other hand is much better in the wind but still not 100% She is getting there though :D

Damn fed up of the gale force winds here too. Haven't ridden my horse for a week as she is a complete whirling dervish in the wind and my poor garden has been completely trashed. Where has summer gone? :-(

Me too! I'm sick fed up of wind, my field is near a windfarm (on the next hill) so really windy beside us fed up of not riding for fear off being blown off! lol
Today I got blown backwards across the field by a particularly big gust as the ponies all watched me I'm sure they were laughing!! lol

at least the rain is off for the time being - nothing worse than having horizontal rain AND gale force winds :(

silly horse has been snorting at anything and everything - he even spooked at a leaf

Don't worry, mine spooked at a dock leaf this afternoon ;-) this is a 16.3hh shire x!!!! It would take a trifid to eat him!!!!
