Yup know what you mean. Took mine out on Tuesday - it was blowing a hooli here but I thought I needed to get him out coz if I don't he'll be even worse when I do get him out, and he was awful, spooking, jumping around like a Chinese dragon, calling for his field-mate, doing Piaffe the whole way, like Satan personified really.
Then yesterday (Weds) we went for a hack and he was totally, completely different, really sweet & amiable and chilled, my lovely boy back from beyond again! A totally different horse.
What a difference a day makes. So if the weather's awful, I have the perfect excuse not to ride now! Although he's a big chunky cob and has in the past lived up near the moors, I think he's got wussy and soft and just doesn't like the cold wind up his nether regions (neither do I for that matter!).
