i love my horses more than anything and i could never give them up but this winter seems to be soooo much harder than any other after my poor babies having to stay out 24/7 because of this weather and my drive being like an ice rink finally it thawed out a bit so brought my girls down to the stables only to go in and find a few burst pipes place is soaked

so now there going to have another few nights out hopefully it wont get colder again! so now im off to carry more water up to the field as the taps still froze

i just want to go a wee hack or something cheer me up x

It's melting down here. I'm sure it won't be long before you are able to go for a hack.

I think many folk are in the same boat so hang in there, i think the weather is due to warm up later this week and things will get back on track, you will then be able to go out for a hack. I have felt the same - lack of riding makes me grumpy, at least you're not cross like me! I hope the pipes fixed and as soon as the water is cleared up everything will be good as new.

Just about everyone I have spoken to has a real downer on horses at present. People are struggling to keep their mood up given the weather, economy etc. Spring will be here before you know it. The days are getting longer now. Keep going and treat yourself to something nice when you get home in the evening, or look thru all your horsey photos and remind yourself of the good times!
