ok so i'm at work today so oh went to turn horse out - he gets up there a little later than me but is still there for 8. yard owner then as mass go at him cos horse has been kicking door - he does it for attention as cos he's a little fatty to get food! OH tries to explain this to her and she just goers nutty and says she can't put up with it over the Easter Weekend. i don't get what she expects me to do - yes it's annoying, yes I'd prefer it if he didn't do it but the fact is he does and others on the yard only make it worse. !!! he's lami prone so has been on a strict diet - his weight looks great at the mo, he gets feed at night and a big hay net yet still he bangs. She reckons it's cos I'm not feeding him properly and he's unhappy or some ****!

There seem to be a lot of unreasonable people who run yards. It is such a shame because there are also some great ones out there. Have you put carpet on the inside of the door? This works with some horses because they don't get the same thud thud noise when they bang. Other than that stick to your guns. If your horse is lami prone and looking great at the moment that is how you want things to stay!
