Getting a new dream mare soon 16.1hh ish piebald and i am looking to get into eventing (my dream!!) she will only be on loan but for a good couple of years!! Everyone i know, knows how much i have wanted a horse like this for, but you know what?? People are actually bitching about me getting a new one, and i have no idea why!! It is really getting me down how they just cant be happy for me etc,and me have done nothing wrong to them!! I hate bitchyness in the horse world! RANT OVER tea and biscuits for those of you who got this far!!!
 
Stop being a baby.

It's nothing out of the ordinary... if you want to get into eventing, you'd better get used to it! Grow a pair and get on with following your star. Who gives two ****s about what other people say...

And, if you do, you will never get anywhere!
 
Ignore them. Be happy for yourself and move on. It's nice to have people happy for you but that's rarely going to happen. If you want to event you need a lot thicker skin. Your close friends should be happy for you. If not they aren't your real friends. Beyond that who cares.

There are genuine benefits to getting old. You finally realise you just don't care who likes you and who doesn't.

Enjoy yourself OP. The only person who can ruin that is you. You will have to rise above the naysayers if you're going to get where you want to go. They will be waiting for you to fail. And guess what, you will have bad days. So you cowboy up in front of people and ignore them. Just go for it and don't let people get you down.

Thankyou guys, its juat the fact that these people get me to ride her horses for her as she is on the larger side (she buys and sells) and i just get it thrown back in my face!
 
I've had similar with a new horse. I think, the bitching, you can deal with but
its the surprise that when people you've done no harm to, are so vile.
Chin up and don't let it spoil your enjoyment.

Because they are jelous and want to spoil your enjoyment of the horse.
